Full-Time Seasonal Golf Starter

Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Barton Hills Country Club was founded in 1919 including an original Donald Ross design that opened in 1922. Originally operating as a dairy farm, Barton Hills sprawls across 160-acres of land including 115 bunkers and multiple tee options that range from 4538 to 7085 yards.
Throughout the club’s history, Barton Hills has hosted the 98th Women’s Amateur in 1998 (Grace Park), the 22nd US Women’s Mid-Amateur in 2008 and the 1961 Coffey Cadillac Pro-Am Invitational Tournament where legends such as Arnold Palmer and Gary Player have competed.
Barton Hills Country Club has been recognized as one of the premiere private clubs in the state and remains committed to providing Members and Guests with a first-class golf experience.

The Starter is responsible for managing the starting tee. Keeping the tee running on schedule, verifying players listed on the tee sheet correctly correspond with the group playing. Keeping track of what mode of transportation the group is using (carts, walking and/or push carts). This individual should have an outgoing personality, a strong work ethic, must be able to quickly learn the operation and be able to communicate with all team members. All duties of the position shall be performed with a commitment to excellent customer service, meeting and exceeding member and guest needs on a daily basis. Must be available mornings, weekends and holidays.
