Golf Staff Assistant - Morris Park Country Club Job Description

• Assist the Professional Golf Staff in all golf and golf shop operations
• Help with basic merchandising aspects, especially display and sales.
• Handle tee time reservations, bill golf fees to members, collect green and cart fees for guests, and facilitate merchandise sales.
• Assist the Professional Golf Staff with facilitating and managing play.
• Help supervise other golf operations staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist outside operations staff with opening and closing duties as needed.
• Unlock and perform opening duties in the golf shop in the morning.
• Perform closing duties and lock the golf shop in the evening.
• Facilitate member and guest usage of the ForeSight golf simulator.
• Greet members and guests as they enter the golf shop.
• Bill member accounts for golf fees at point-of-sale.
• Take tee times and collect fees from customers at point-of-sale.
• Help customers with purchases, utilizing product knowledge.
• Help maintain golf shop cleanliness and organize displays.
• Handle customer communications – in person, by phone, and via email.
• Be outgoing and personable, and create a welcoming environment for members and guests.
• Cooperate with guests and facility staff of Morris Park CC and render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
• Maintain dress code and personal conduct at all times in accordance with facility image and reputation.
• Help in supervising outside golf staff members and supervising and training other golf shop attendants.

Education and Experience

• Previous experience at a golf facility preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Position Dates

• 4/2/2024 through fall 2024 (seasonal, ending date dependent upon weather)
