Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Manager to oversee and maintain the golf course irrigation systems at our esteemed facility in Tuscany.
Main duties include supervising daily operations, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing all irrigation systems. Schedule and monitor irrigation cycles to optimize turf health, water conservation, and playability.
Collaborate with the Agronomy Team to adjust irrigation practices based on agronomic needs and weather conditions. Lead a small irrigation team and train them to respond promptly to system issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate logs of irrigation activity, water usage, repairs, and inventory. Calibrate and maintain irrigation heads, valves, pumps, and central control systems.
Support sustainability and environmental best practices in all irrigation-related operations. Assist with major projects such as system upgrades, expansions, and installations.

- 3–5 years of experience in golf course irrigation systems, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong working knowledge of automated irrigation systems, hydraulics, pump stations, and weather-based controls.
- Ability to read and interpret irrigation plans, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical components.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on-call for emergency repairs as needed.
- Fluency in English required; Italian language skills are an asset.
- Full-time contract in accordance with the Italian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL).
