The Yarra Yarra Golf Club has a long and proud history that dates back to 1898 and is located on the famous Melbourne Sandbelt.
The role is for a Sous Chef who would be responsible for the cost-effective management of the kitchen team whilst assisting the Head Chef in leading a hard-working, professional and friendly kitchen team to ensuring member and guest satisfaction.
The Sous Chef reports to the Head Chef and liaises with other senior management staff including the Administrative Team and Events Coordinator.

- Responsible for assisting the Head Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for service
- Liaise with the front of house team regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes
- Hands on supervision and motivation of the kitchen team
- Maintaining current knowledge on food trends and competitors
- Setting, implementing and reviewing service standards to exceed guest expectations
- Ordering and stock control
- Ensure the highest possible standard of hygiene is practiced and maintained by the entire kitchen to meet health and safety regulations and food preparation guidelines.
