Country Club of Detroit is transitioning from a Golf Professional-owned Golf Shop to a Club-owned Golf Shop. This time of change provides an excellent opportunity for the right professional to lead from the ground up as we complete the transition.

Responsibilities
- Team management: The Golf Shop Manager leads the Golf Shop team, including hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Customer service: The Golf Shop Manager ensures excellent customer service by implementing and maintaining high standards, addressing customer concerns, and creating a positive retail experience.
- Inventory management: The Golf Shop Manager oversees all purchasing and receiving, managing inventory levels to ensure accurate bookkeeping in coordination with the Club’s accounting department.
- Sales performance: The Golf Shop Manager sets sales targets, analyzes sales data, and implements strategies to boost revenue and meet objectives.
- Visual merchandising: The Golf Shop Manager ensures that the Golf Shop’s visual appeal and layout are attractive and aligned with the CCD brand, encouraging customer engagement and sales.
- Operational efficiency: The Golf Shop Manager oversees day-to-day operations, including cash management, opening and closing procedures, and compliance with the Club’s policies and procedures.
- Budgeting and financial management: The Golf Shop Manager is responsible for the departmental budget, controlling expenses, and contributing to overall financial planning.
- Conflict resolution: The Golf Shop Manager addresses challenges promptly, makes decisions to resolve issues, and implements improvements in store operations.
- Market awareness: The Golf Shop Manager is proactively informed about industry trends and customer preferences to make sound decisions regarding product and sales strategies.
- Vendor relations: The Golf Shop Manager attends all buying meetings with vendor sales representatives and executes a yearly buying strategy.

Total Compensation
Country Club of Detroit offers a competitive compensation package commensurate with the candidate’s experience and credentials.

- Base salary
- Commission-based performance bonus
