Our Tennessee State Parks are among the most beautiful parks in the United States. We have an outstanding opportunity to work in a beautiful environment at the Paris Landing Golf Course in Buchanan, Tennessee. The Paris Landing State Park Golf Course is situated on the western shore of Kentucky Lake. Several holes skirt Kentucky Lake, producing a natural balance of rolling land, trees, and water. Hole #12 is a 586-yard, par 5 with an elevated green overlooking Kentucky Lake and hole #4 is a downhill 186-yard par 3 with the lake providing a scenic backdrop. Amenities include a driving range, practice green, golf shop, snack bar, and on-site lodging. The Lodge at Paris Landing offers the comforts of a modern hotel and incredible views of Kentucky Lake, all within the State Park.
The Golf Shop Attendant performs day-to-day inside golf operations duties of the facility. Primary responsibilities are to assist customers in the golf shop to include answering phone calls, booking tee times, covering the counter, restocking retail, and covering snack bar during service times. Opening and closing duties as required.

Highlighted Responsibilities:
- Assists with Golf Shop retail operations; counting inventory, securing, merchandising, cleaning (vacuums and dusts) and restocking.
- Operates point of sale (POS) system to record and issue receipts for all sales transactions. Handles all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
- Provides customer service to course guests by assisting customers in the selection of attire, golf clubs and supplies. Makes customers aware of any special promotions and sales.
- Answers the phone promptly to assist customers with tee times and general golf information.
- Opens and closes Golf Shop and or Snack Bar as scheduled.
- Keeps dining areas and snack bar areas clean. Clears, cleans, and resets tables that have been vacated.
- Escalates customer service issues to management as soon as they occur.
- May be required to assist in golf course operations outside if needed.
- Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
- Basic knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations
- Experienced computer user including Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficient in other applications, i.e., email, internet, tournament, and database
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Enthusiastically promote the game of golf (PGA Apprentice working to attain PGA Professional status desirable.)
- Knowledgeable in basic food service operations
- The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with one's body, arms, and/or legs
