We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Golf Course Pro Shop Assistant(s) to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with a variety of services, including Annual Pass inquiries, answering golf-related questions, and handling merchandise, beverage, and limited food sales. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a passion for golf, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Annual Pass Services:
  • Assist customers with inquiries about our Annual Pass Program options, benefits, and registration processes.
  • Process new Annual Passholders applications and renewals.
  • Maintain accurate records of Annual Pass status and information for each individual.
Customer Assistance:
  • Answer questions related to golf course policies, tee times, and general golf information.
  • Provide information about upcoming events, tournaments, and promotions.
  • Offer advice and recommendations on golf equipment and accessories.
Merchandise Sales:
  • Assist customers with the selection and purchase of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories.
  • Maintain knowledge of current merchandise and promotions.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, and organized.
Beverage and Food Sales:
  • Serve beverages and limited food items to customers in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems for efficient and accurate transaction processing.
  • Keep the beverage and snack areas clean and well-stocked.
General Duties:
  • Ensure the pro shop (including all pro shop public spaces) is clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and securely.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocktaking and ordering supplies.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide exceptional service and ensure smooth operations.
Performs other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail, or food and beverage service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf and golf-related products is a plus.
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Server License through ABLE Commission.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and handle busy periods with ease.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer complaints professionally.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
