As a Golf Shop Attendant, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily golf operation and ensuring that every member and guest enjoys an exceptional experience both on and off the course.

Job Summary:

The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the golf shop, promoting a professional and welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests, and supporting the retail and administrative aspects of the golf operation. This role includes providing outstanding customer service, managing play coordination, assisting in merchandise sales and displays, and ensuring the golf shop operates efficiently and effectively.

Job Duties:
  • Greet and assist members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to members, guests, and fellow staff.
  • Coordinate guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the Starter.
  • Assist in merchandise sales, inventory control, receiving, display, promotion, and special orders.
  • Maintain attractive and organized merchandise displays to maximize sales.
  • Monitor and follow up on all special orders.
  • Train golf shop personnel in sales techniques and product knowledge as directed.
  • Assist with tournament operations and outings.
  • Stay informed on and promote all club activities, services, and programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and assist in periodic physical inventory counts.
  • Support the enforcement of all club rules and regulations related to golf course and facility usage.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uniform at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf, or General Manager.
Qualifications Standards:
  • Strong fundamentals and passion for golf.
  • Basic knowledge of golf operations, tournament setup, and current equipment trends preferred but not required.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional member service.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Requires frequent lifting and movement of items up to 50 lbs unassisted.
  • Regularly required to use hands, reach, and communicate effectively.
