Position Summary - The Golf Shop Agent is responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to our guests to ensure that they have an outstanding experience that may in fact exceed their expectations. The Golf Shop acts as the hub of the golf environment which may include staff providing service to clients beyond the regular Golf Shop responsibilities.

The job will require long periods of standing and some heavy lifting so maintaining good physical health is important, having comfortable footwear will help in this regard. Will need to be able to wok while wearing PPE, including masks and gloves.

The Golf Shop acts as the hub of the golf environment which may include staff providing service to clients beyond the regular Golf Shop responsibilities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the check-in of golfers in a friendly and timely matter
- Is responsible for effectively making tee-time reservations
- Is able to communicate with all outside services on tee-time requirements
- Work closely with the Retail Assistant in ensuring the Golf Shop is clean and restocked on a daily basis
- Actively promotes sales of retail product and knowledge of the same
- Attend to guests daily needs as required
- Operation of all financial transaction equipment
- Complete daily reports of all transactions
- Assist Group Coordinator with all groups and tournaments as required
- Promote general health and safety of guests and staff in relation to the public health rules and regulations in place for the pandemic.
- Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Secondary education or higher
- Have a good knowledge of golfing and golf course environments
- Knowledge of computers and Point of Sale systems
- Customer service skills and/or retail experience
- Telephone systems and skills
- Enjoy building a sense of camaraderie in a team setting.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Genuine, professional and fun disposition, with a positive, “glass half full” outlook on life
