Food & Beverage Server - Shuswap National

We are currently recruiting for the 2023 Summer Golf Season at Shuswap National in Salmon Arm, BC.

Located just south of beautiful Salmon Arm, our facility is an 18-hole Championship Golf Course with a 130 seat restaurant/clubhouse, large tented event and banquet facility as well as on course offerings.

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service in the restaurant, events venue, on course beverage cart and concessions, ensuring high quality food experience for our guests. This role is a full-time, seasonal position during the golf season months. The successful candidate should have a high level of professionalism, social abilities, flexibility, communication skills with a passion for food and beverage.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Adhering to food safety guidelines and working within Interior Health Standards
• Ensuring a complete and quality cycle of service for guests
• Ensuring accuracy in taking guest orders & ringing through POS system
• Supporting all aspects of a successful Food & Beverage and Golf operation
• Taking accurate payments and completing daily cash outs
• Accuracy in stock, measure and service of product inventory
• Open communication with supervisor and manager
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Positive customer service-oriented personality
• BC SERVING IT RIGHT certification required
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in BC (19+)
• Valid Drivers License required
• Experience in similar golf/seasonal setting an asset
• Job requires lifting and carrying moderately heavy objects
• Ability to stand for long periods, carry a tray, go up and down stairs
• Service industry experience an asset

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. We are unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Salary: From $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
