Arcis Golf is looking to hire a Golf Course Senior Assistant Superintendent for the Signature of Stonecreek Golf Club in Phoenix, AZ.

Overview: Partner with the Superintendent to direct and coordinate golf course maintenance activities such as maintaining quality course condition quality; selecting, developing, and retaining employees; exceeding guest expectations.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations, ensuring cost control and efficient utilization of resources.

· Provides advice and coordination with the Golf Course Superintendent on any issues related to golf course maintenance

· Direct and actively participate in the construction and maintenance of the grounds, ensuring they are well-maintained and visually appealing.

· Administer and enforce rules, regulations, and policies for staff members, including members and guests, to ensure a harmonious and professional environment.

· Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to maintain fiscal responsibility and professionalism in all maintenance operations.

· Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff members, while maintaining accurate training and performance records.

· Ensure the proper functioning of irrigation systems, overseeing repairs and irrigation duties to maintain course standards.

· Oversee and perform general maintenance tasks such as mowing, raking, blowing, mulching, sod work, aerification, and course set-up.

· Assist in special projects and undertake any additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course maintenance or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of turfgrass management principles, including irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
  • Experience operating and maintaining golf course maintenance equipment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A degree or certification in turfgrass management or a related field is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $53,893.56 - $60,000.00 per year
