What You Will Be Doing
Purchasing & Merchandising
- Curate and purchase all golf soft goods for The Broadmoor Golf Shop, maintaining an appealing and profitable merchandise assortment.
- Create compelling retail displays and optimize product placement to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
- Manage merchandise ordering, receiving, inventory levels, and turnover to ensure operational efficiency.
- Stay current on golf industry trends, emerging brands, and top-selling products.
- Plan and execute Golf Shop promotions, events, and seasonal merchandising initiatives.
- Manage merchandise offerings and order fulfillment for the Golf Shop e-store.
Leadership & Guest Experience
- Manage, mentor, and support Golf Shop retail employees, while fostering a collaborative, service-focused environment.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and adherence to The Broadmoor's service standards.
- Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training retail team members.
- Oversee customer returns, exchanges, and guest concerns with professionalism and care.
- Participate in department meetings, line-ups, and Golf Operations meetings to support communication and operational excellence.
Operations & Administration
- Maintain close communication with the Director of Golf and Retail Cost Controller regarding all aspects of the Golf Shop operation.
- Manage inventory controls, scheduled inventories, and variance reporting.
- Monitor labor costs and retail revenue performance.
- Support special orders, group merchandise programs, and personal-use discount orders.
- Coordinate local embroidery services and related operational records.
- Complete month-end reporting, inventory transfers, non-tax forms, and damage reports.
- Ensure compliance with established security, sales, cash-handling, and record-keeping procedures.
- Uphold all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of hospitality experience and two years of retail experience.
- Passion for golf, luxury retail, merchandising, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Energetic, professional, and service-minded individual who enjoys building relationships with guests and colleagues.
