GOLF CART ATTENDANT
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with members, guests, and colleagues.
Experience Required
Basic knowledge of customer service standards and the ability to provide professional, attentive service to members and guests. Familiarity with golf operations is helpful but not required.
JOB SUMMARY: The Golf Cart Attendant supports the daily outside golf operation by preparing, cleaning, and maintaining golf carts; transporting and storing golf bags; maintaining the practice facility and surrounding work areas; and providing exceptional service to members and guests.
SCHEDULE: Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and split shifts when required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, golf cart, and range ball-picking equipment; lift and carry golf bags weighing up to 40 pounds to a height of four feet; stand and walk for extended periods; and work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the scheduled shift.

- A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
- Positive attitude and commitment to maintaining a professional manner and appearance in all situations.
- Previous golf-related experience is helpful but not required.

Essential Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests warmly and provide excellent customer service, professional guidance, and assistance.
- Transport golf bags from the bag-drop area or bag-storage room to the appropriate golf cart, shuttle, caddie, or designated staging area.
- Greet golfers returning from the course, clean their golf clubs, and assist with transporting and loading bags into vehicles or returning them to the bag-storage room.
- Keep the bag-storage room clean, neat, secure, and organized at all times.
- Ensure all stored golf clubs and bags are properly accounted for.
- Clean, prepare, stage, and maintain golf carts to ensure they are safe, fully stocked, and presented in excellent condition.
- Inspect golf carts and promptly report mechanical problems, damage, or maintenance concerns to a supervisor.
- Support the daily operation and presentation of the practice facility.
- Transport range balls to the practice range and fill designated containers.
- Operate the range ball picker and wash and restock range balls.
- Clean and maintain the practice tee, reposition bag stands and barriers, empty trash receptacles, and refill club-cleaning stations.
- Refill water stations located throughout the golf course.
- Assist with the daily operation of the Outside Services Department.
- Assist Golf Professionals with tournaments, outings, and special golf events.
- Support clear and effective communication between Golf Operations and other Club departments.
- Follow all Ponte Vedra Inn & Club policies, procedures, service standards, and safety guidelines.
- Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Conduct oneself professionally and maintain a polished appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Follow the direction of the Starter, Assistant Golf Professional, and other Golf Professionals on duty.
- Complete assigned responsibilities efficiently, accurately, and according to established service standards.
- Attend all required training sessions, safety courses, and departmental meetings.
- Perform additional duties and follow up on assignments as requested by the Golf Professionals.
