The Golf Shop Assistant provides friendly, knowledgeable customer service to golfers while supporting the daily operation of the golf shop. This position assists customers with merchandise, tee-time inquiries, golf equipment, apparel, and general golf course information while maintaining an organized and welcoming shop environment. This position will also help pick range balls from driving range. Key Responsibilities * Greet customers and provide excellent, professional service. * Operate the point-of-sale system and accurately process purchases, returns, and exchanges. * Answer questions about tee times, course policies, tournaments, and golf shop services. * Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked merchandise displays. * Assist with opening and closing procedures and daily cash handling. * Assist with golf cart staging, driving range operations, or other course-support duties as assigned. * Follow all safety, customer-service, and golf course policies. Qualifications * Previous retail, customer service, or golf experience preferred. * Knowledge of golf equipment and terminology is a plus. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Comfortable working with cash registers and basic computer systems. * Reliable, professional, and able to work independently. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs. * Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings as needed. Preferred Skills * Interest or experience in golf. * Sales and upselling skills. * Attention to detail. * Team-oriented attitude. * Ability to remain friendly and professional in a busy environment. Working Conditions * Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings. * Indoor retail environment and outdoor driving range.
