CitySwing is an indoor golf studio located in Reston, VA. We are a fast-growing startup aiming to help change the culture of golf and make the game more inclusive. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for professional, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to join our team and help us get to the next level.

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Golf Professional to join our team. The Golf Professional will play a key role in providing exceptional golf instruction, selling subscriptions, and delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for golf, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to promoting the game of golf through teaching and mentorship.

Essential Responsibilities

• Understanding the modern golf swing and comfortability with teaching non-golfers, beginner, intermediate, and advanced players
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of proper sequencing and swing dynamics
• Must be able to analyze the cause and effect of biomechanical errors in the golf swing
• Solid teaching acumen, must demonstrate positive and proactive coaching skills
• Ability to help drive and maintain monthly subscription enrollments
• Ensure excellent guest experience by being responsive, follow up in a timely manner, and follow through on commitments
• Ability to multitask while remaining focused on the key objectives of the position
• Assist with internal and external CitySwing events in coordination with the sales team
• Ensure execution of the event is efficient, professional, and provides a great experience
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Help clean and maintain studio facilities
• Ensure a proper, safe work environment to include compliance with OSHA/WISHA and CitySwing guidelines and standard operating procedures
• Possess the ability to work within established guidelines and standards, ensuring brand consistency for both CitySwing’s assigned properties
• Must be willing to grow and develop as a Golf Professional
• Must maintain active classification in the PGA of America
• Ability to work weekends and holidays, mornings and evenings as business demands
• Position may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• All other duties as assigned

Experience Required

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or Movement Science is a plus
• Class A PGA Certification is preferred
• Accepted certifications from PGA, LPGA, USGTF, PGTAA, NRPGI, and TPI
• Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google, IOS programs, and more
• Launch monitor experience (Trackman, Flightscope, Foresight, Full Swing, Unekor) proficiency is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
