In this role, you will be the first and last point of contact for many of our members and guests, ensuring a smooth pace of play and a positive experience on the course. In this role, you will be the first and last point of contact for many of our members and guests, ensuring a smooth pace of play and a positive experience on the course. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of golf rules and etiquette and is committed to providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Act as an ambassador for the course, providing friendly and helpful service while greeting all players, check them in for their tee time, provide necessary materials (scorecards, pencils), and answer any questions they may have.
- Pace of Play: Manage the flow of play from the first tee and throughout the course, enforcing tee times and encouraging groups to maintain the proper pace.
- Course Monitoring: Patrol the course to monitor play, enforce course rules and regulations, and address any potential issues or concerns.
- Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the pro shop, maintenance, and cart staff via radio to coordinate course logistics.
- Course Conditions: Provide players with updates on course conditions and cart path rules.
- Course Upkeep: Assist in maintaining the course's appearance by reporting issues, picking up trash, and helping with minor repairs like filling divots when needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of the game of golf, its rules, and etiquette.
- Ability to remain calm and professional while interacting with a diverse group of golfers.
- A valid driver's license for operating a golf cart.
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
