Employment Period may start as early as April 22, 2024 up to September 2, 2024. Both part time and full time options available. Part time schedule up to 30 hours/week. Full time schedule up to 44 hours work, and includes weekends and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Equipment operation for the purpose of maintaining golf course amenities including, greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, litter pick up, garbage and recycling collection and disposal.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping a definite asset.
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must posses Emergency First Aid Certification
  • Must be capable of performing physical work in an outdoor setting, including bending, lifting, walking, pushing and standing.
  • Must have green patch CSA approved safety boots, 6" - 8" to cover ankle, suede or leather.
  • Must be available to work weekends, shift work and overtime.
  • Must be available to work Labour Day weekend.
  • Normal hours of work;
    • Part time Schedule (may vary)
      • Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
      • Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
      • Up to 30 hours/week
    • Full time Schedule (may vary)
      • Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
      • Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
      • Up to 44 hours/week
  • Successful applicants will be required to attend various training sessions throughout the spring.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
  • Exposure to vibration, unpleasant smells, fumes, dust, and flying particles
  • Exposure to grass, weeds, and other potential outdoor allergens and various insects
  • Requires bending, lifting heavy equipment and objects (up to 55 lbs), climbing, walking, pushing, sitting, standing and repetitive motion
Hourly Rate/Salary: $16.94 - $20.22
Hours of Work: Part time: up to 30 hours; Full time: up to 44 hours
Work Location: Brae Ben Golf Course and Lakeview Golf Course in Mississauga
