Duties and Responsibilities
- Equipment operation for the purpose of maintaining golf course amenities including, greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, litter pick up, garbage and recycling collection and disposal.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience in golf course maintenance and landscaping a definite asset.
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must posses Emergency First Aid Certification
- Must be capable of performing physical work in an outdoor setting, including bending, lifting, walking, pushing and standing.
- Must have green patch CSA approved safety boots, 6" - 8" to cover ankle, suede or leather.
- Must be available to work weekends, shift work and overtime.
- Must be available to work Labour Day weekend.
- Normal hours of work;
- Part time Schedule (may vary)
- Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Up to 30 hours/week
- Full time Schedule (may vary)
- Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Alternating weekends including Holidays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Up to 44 hours/week
- Part time Schedule (may vary)
- Successful applicants will be required to attend various training sessions throughout the spring.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Working outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Exposure to vibration, unpleasant smells, fumes, dust, and flying particles
- Exposure to grass, weeds, and other potential outdoor allergens and various insects
- Requires bending, lifting heavy equipment and objects (up to 55 lbs), climbing, walking, pushing, sitting, standing and repetitive motion
