The ideal candidate will combine a passion for golf with expertise in retail merchandising. This role involves managing the golf shop's merchandise, enhancing the overall shopping experience for members and guests, and supporting various golf operations. While a background in golf is beneficial, we are willing to train the right candidate on specific golf-related duties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandise Management:
- Oversee the selection, procurement, display, and sales of merchandise in the golf shop.
- Stay updated with trends in golf apparel and equipment to ensure the shop offers current and desirable products.
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring a balanced stock and timely ordering of new products.
- Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting members and guests with product selection, fitting, and purchasing.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide solutions to any issues related to merchandise.
- Sales and Promotions:
- Develop and execute promotional strategies to boost sales, including special events, sales campaigns, and member-exclusive offers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to advertise merchandise and promotions effectively.
- Golf Operations Support:
- Assist with various golf operations tasks as needed, including tournament organization, member services, and golf instruction.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the overall improvement of golf operations.
- Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and pricing to ensure the best value for the club and its members.
- Administrative Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as sales tracking, reporting, and budget management related to merchandise.
- Ensure compliance with all club policies and procedures.
- Experience in retail merchandising, preferably in a golf or sports environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic knowledge of golf (with a willingness to learn more about golf operations).
- Proficient in using retail software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
