JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the monitoring and overseeing of the entire golf operation at the club.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Hire, train, schedule and supervise pro shop personnel including pro shop attendants, golf cart attendants, and player assistants. Directs the daily operations of the pro shop ensuring accurate records.
2. Gives quality golf lessons to include individual, and group lessons.
3. Manages the cash flow in the golf shop, ensuring that cash and credit card charges balance with sales receipts in accordance with operating procedures.
4. Ensures golf shop is appropriately stocked, clean, safe and tidy.
5. Works with members and guests; assists them with their golfing needs; handles their requests, complaints and inquires with composure and in a timely professional manner.
6. Develops programs to promote the interest in the sport of golf and the use of the course.
7. Plans, organizes and conducts golf tournaments for members and outside organizations.
8. Manages the golf associations/leagues for the course.
9. Prepares annual budget for golf operations and strives to achieve sales targets.
10. Maintains accurate records of green fees and cart rentals.
11. Ensures the golf cart fleet is well maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
12. Completes high quality custom fitting and club repairs to customer satisfaction.
13. Gathers, processes and submits payroll information for the golf department timely and accurately; maintains employee files and records.
14. Devotes a reasonable amount of time to play golf with members of all skill levels.
15. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service.
16. Attends and actively participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
19. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
20. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.

EXPERIENCE

1. Has knowledge of the organization and management of a pro shop.
2. Understands the rules of golf, the equipment used and golf tournament organization.
3. Has knowledge of practice facility operation and golf management.
4. Effective communication skills orally and in writing.
5. Able to provide a high level of customer service with attention to detail.
6. Proficient with common MS Office computer programs and experience with POS systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
