An exciting new opportunity exists for a Director of Golf at The Riversdale Golf Club, Mount Waverley, Victoria

The Role :

Reporting to the Director of Golf, the role of the Golf Operations Manager will be to manage and lead the Golf Operations at both an operational and strategic level.

The Golf Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining a golfing culture that encourages participation and enhances camaraderie between Members.

Key Function

To deliver planned and carefully administered member competitions and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Golf Shop, whilst being the key point of contact for competitions and golf at the Club.

Key responsibilities :
  • Oversee the administration of the golf bookings system, registration of guests / visitors and collection of green fees
  • Oversee the administration of all golf competitions and the preparation of results
  • Attend Club meetings as required
  • Preparation of the Club’s annual calendar
  • Manage marshalling duties (including pace of play) as required by management
  • Assist with the organisation of corporate golf events
  • Profiling and promotion of all upcoming events
  • Assist with planning and organising major golf events held at the Club.
  • Retail inventory control, ordering, processing and sales of goods
  • Liaisewithequipmentsuppliers
Skills and Experience
  • Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in a Golf Operations Manager role in a similar environment
  • Previous experience working with MiClub golf software and competition management software
  • Demonstrated ability to work positively and collaboratively with employees, Members, Committee members and guests.
  • A friendly and approachable manner
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide a professional approach
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision, manage time effectively, exercise initiative and set priorities to work within required timelines
  • Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
