Position Overview

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Golf Operations Manager to lead all aspects of our golf services. This is a key leadership role responsible for the day-to-day excellence of the golf experience, from the pro shop and bag drop to the starter and player services. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader with a passion for the game and a commitment to operational excellence and superior guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Operations Management: Oversee all daily golf operations, including pro shop management, tee time reservations, starter and player assistant services, and bag storage.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage all golf operations staff, fostering a culture of exceptional customer service and professionalism.
  • Financial Management: Manage pro shop inventory, merchandise selection, and purchasing. Monitor budgets, control costs, and drive revenue for the golf operations department.
  • Member & Guest Services: Serve as a primary point of contact for member and guest inquiries, ensuring all interactions are handled with the utmost professionalism and care.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Implement and manage point-of-sale and tee time reservation systems. Continuously evaluate and improve operational procedures for efficiency and enhanced guest experience.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, Golf Events Manager, and Food & Beverage team to ensure a seamless and integrated member experience.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with company policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proven experience in golf operations management, preferably at a private club, resort, or high-volume public facility.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse staff.
  • Excellent business acumen with experience in budgeting, inventory management, and retail merchandising.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the game of golf and its rules, etiquette, and equipment.
  • Proficiency with golf management software (e.g., ForeTees, GolfNow, Jonas) and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
