You will have strong business acumen and experience in strategic change management. You will be reporting to and collaborating directly with the General Manager

About the Role
The Golf Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Golf Operations Team, driving new business and increasing revenue. You will have strong business acumen and experience in strategic change management. You will be reporting to and collaborating directly with the General Manager
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Develop/coordinate the development of annual business plans for the golf operation
Oversee golf marketing initiatives including all promotional materials, yield management, golf packages and outsides events plus the promotion of new golf memberships.
Oversee all fiscal areas and performance for the golf operations including planning, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and correction
Timesheet, Competition Management & local rule enforcement
Develop and oversee an innovative tournament schedule and golf activities program that services all customer segments
Creating an exceptional golfing experience for members and visitors
Maintain a close working relationship with Golf Course Superintendent and other Department Heads
Manage the Golf Calendar including promoting Corporate Golf Days.
Administering member competitions and assisting with Member & Guest bookings
Competition and Handicap management (MiClub Software)
Workplace health and safety
Previous Experience Managing a Golf Operations Department - Minimum 5 years - Essential
Experience with Members Charters
Experience in implementing transformational change
Strong business acumen
Experience in managing, leading and developing employee
Experience in managing performance of staff for productive outcomes
Strong experience and knowledge within the golf industry
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
Working knowledge of industry benchmarks and how to achieve them
Ability to forecast and adapt to changing trading outcomes
A passion for golf and excellence in customer service
Proficient in MiClub (preferred), and experience in inventory and stock control systems
Must have current Australian work authorisation at time of application
