The role

Are you a golf enthusiast with a knack for leadership and operational excellence?

We are seeking a passionate and customer focused Golf Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of the 18-hole golf course, driving range and pro shop. We are not your standard Golf Course; we are a progressive all-inclusive public venue redefining the golfing experience. Located in Cannon Hill we are only 15 minutes from the CBD of Brisbane, Queensland.

About the Role
Reporting to the Venue Operations Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving the day-to-day operations of the golf facility (including the driving range).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering outstanding customer experiences

  • Working with the Managment team to achieve key financial KPI’s for the business

  • Providing strong leadership and direction to staff, including training, rostering, performance management, and team development.

  • Managing golf stock control, ensuring accurate inventory levels and timely replenishment.

  • Ensuring optimal facility presentation and maintenance.

  • Building and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, both internal and external.

  • Managing point-of-sale and booking systems to ensure accurate sales & stock records.

  • Completing financial and general administrative tasks, including reporting and reconciliations.

  • Upholding Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards and ensuring compliance across the venue.
About You
You will be a natural "people” person and be comfortable in providing front-line service whilst also taking on management responsibilities. You will have the capacity to work a varied roster including a combination of weekends, early starts and evenings.

You will have:

  • 3 + years golf or venue/facility management

  • Proven experience in managing teams and developing staff

  • Excellent communication, rapport building and multi-tasking skills

  • Solid business and commercial acumen

  • Contractor and stakeholder management experience

  • A vibrant and energetic personality with a passion for delivering outstanding service

  • A proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

  • Relevant qualifications, including First Aid certification, RSA, WWC or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

  • A current National Police Check

  • PGA qualification advantageous but not essential
