The Golf Operations team member ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience for all golfers by managing daily operations, assisting guests, and maintaining course policies. Responsibilities include customer service, tee time management, golf cart oversight, and retail assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service & Guest Relations:
- Greet golfers, check them in, and provide course information.
- Assist with bag handling, cart assignments, and rental equipment.
- Answer phone calls, book tee times, and handle inquiries.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Manage tee sheet and coordinate player flow.
- Ensure golfers adhere to pace-of-play policies.
- Maintain cart fleet (cleanliness, charging, and organization).
- Monitor driving range and practice facilities.
- Process sales (green fees, merchandise, memberships).
- Stock and organize golf apparel, equipment, and accessories.
- Promote club promotions, lessons, and events.
- Assist in setting up tournaments and outings.
- Help with scoring, player check-in, and prize distribution.
- Ensure golf carts, range balls, and amenities are well-stocked.
- Report course maintenance issues (divots, bunkers, etc.).
- High school diploma (or equivalent); golf industry experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic golf knowledge (rules, etiquette, handicaps).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and golf management software (e.g., ForeTees, GolfNow).
- Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, early mornings).
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (golf bags, range baskets).
