About Us

Wagga Wagga City Golf Club is a proud community-based club with a long history of delivering quality golf and hospitality to members and visitors. As we continue to grow and strengthen our presence, we are seeking a motivated, hands-on Manager who can lead by example, drive business initiatives, and build strong relationships across the community and local business network.

The Role

This is a diverse and rewarding position for someone who enjoys being actively involved in both operations and growth initiatives. The Manager will work alongside the team in the Pro Shop — managing tee times, bookings, and competitions — while also helping to drive sponsorships, partnerships, membership growth, and corporate day bookings. It’s a role that balances operational leadership with community engagement and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to daily Pro Shop operations (opening and closing duties, tee times, bookings, competitions).

  • Deliver excellent service to members and guests.

  • Drive revenue growth through sponsorships, partnerships, membership sign-ups, and corporate golf days.

  • Actively engage with local businesses — building relationships, making calls, and generating leads.

  • Support and motivate the team to achieve operational and commercial goals.

  • Report on KPIs related to revenue generation, course utilisation, and membership growth.
About You

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and brings leadership and commercial acumen. You’ll be comfortable working with the team on the ground while also looking for opportunities to grow the Club’s reach and revenue.

Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience in golf, sport, or hospitality.

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

  • 2+ years of experience in sales and business development — comfortable making calls, generating leads, and closing opportunities.

  • A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities.

  • A passion for golf or sport is an advantage, but not essential.
What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary.

  • Commission structure tied to KPIs, in relation to Sponsorships, Membership Sign-Ups, Corporate bookings and Course Utilisation initiatives.

  • The opportunity to make a real impact on the future of a proud community golf club.

  • A supportive environment where your contribution is valued.
How to Apply

If you’re a hands-on leader with a knack for building relationships and a drive to grow revenue, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected]
