The Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members club, is fortunate to be considered one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions, having proudly hosted a number of world class sporting events including the Australian Open on 15 occasions and the 2011 Davis Cup. It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world class sporting facilities which include two golf courses, 18 tennis courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, squash courts, snooker tables, a gym, swimming pools, cafes, club bar, a dining room, accommodation rooms and multiple function rooms.
The Role
We are seeking an energetic, passionate and enthusiastic Golf Operations Attendant to join the team in what is an exciting period for the Club, as we come towards the end of a major course renovation to our Championship Course. The renovation, led by world-renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse, is expected to be completed in March 2025.
Reporting into the Golf Operations Manager you will assist in the smooth running of the concourse/pro-shop areas. You will be responsible for attending to the needs and enquiries of members and guests ensuring that exceptional member service is delivered at all times.
This is a Full-Time position working Tuesdays-Saturdays, requiring flexible availability to work shifts ranging between 6:00am starts to 7:00pm finishes.

- Assist in daily sport shop operations
- Assist with tee bookings and time sheet management
- Facilitate retail service to members
- Daily operational tasks including but not limited to cleaning and maintenance of bag storage, cart storage and staging areas.
- Provision of exemplary service to members, including listening and responding to member needs in a professional and positive manner.
- Responsible for ensuring that members and guests adhere to dress code, mobile phone usage and guest sign-in policies.
- A passion for golf and member service
- A dedicated team player
- Availability to work mid-week and weekends – shifts ranging between 6am starts and 7pm finishes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using computers and associated software programs
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and members.
- Experience with booking and point of sale systems (preferred)
