Overview

The Golf Operations Associate is an essential role to the success of our team at Abenaqui Country Club and serves as a first point of contact for arriving members and guests. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service and supports the Professional Staff by assisting with essential outside services, such as bag handling, cart preparation, range operations, and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas. The Golf Operations Associate is responsible for staging and storing golf carts, providing various golf-related services, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all golfers.

Experience Required


  • Golf knowledge or experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Have an outgoing and friendly personality - a proven team player who enjoys engaging with people.
  • Demonstrate good work ethic.
  • Be able to work 15-35 hours a week, with weekend and holiday availability.
  • Need to be comfortable with some shifts starting as early as 6am or ending as late as 9pm.
  • Be flexible in their work schedule and able to work October.
  • Have the ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Be comfortable with standing and working outside for long periods of time.
Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist golfers by loading and unloading bags, preparing them for play, answering questions, offering golf course etiquette suggestions, and providing post-round support, including cleaning clubs and delivering them to cars as needed.
  • Build positive relationships with members through attentive and courteous interaction.
  • Clean, stage, and park golf carts to standards and ensure proper charging.
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Greet and assist members to ensure a welcoming, service-oriented experience.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, storage areas, practice facilities, and external spaces such as the parking lot and pro shop entrance.
  • Perform bag room duties, including handling, cleaning, and storing golf clubs.
  • Pick the driving range, clean golf balls, and maintain range presentation.
