*Job Summary* Join our vibrant golf course team as a Golf Course Starter/Ranger, where your enthusiasm and customer service skills will set the tone for an exceptional golfing experience. In this dynamic role, you will be the first point of contact for players, ensuring smooth tee times, managing course flow, and maintaining safety standards. Your energetic presence will help create a welcoming atmosphere while overseeing guest activities and providing assistance throughout their visit. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine outdoor work with hospitality and event management, all while fostering a fun and safe environment for players of all ages. *Responsibilities* * Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide clear instructions on tee times and course rules to ensure efficient play. * Manage the scheduling of tee times, coordinating with players to minimize wait times and optimize course usage. * Monitor course safety by enforcing rules, managing pace of play, and addressing any on-course issues promptly. * Assist with event setup and management for tournaments or special outings, including crowd control and guest assistance. * Provide excellent guest services by answering questions, resolving conflicts, and ensuring a positive experience for all players. * Conduct safety checks around the course, respond to emergencies with first aid or CPR when necessary, and follow safety protocols diligently. * Support retail sales at the pro shop or snack bar, processing cash transactions using POS systems while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. *Qualifications* * Previous experience in outdoor work environments or hospitality roles is highly desirable. * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in public speaking situations. * Knowledge of golf course operations or event venue management is a plus. * Ability to handle conflict effectively and maintain a positive attitude under pressure. * Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. * Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, manual handling tasks, and stand for extended periods. * Experience working with children or in resort settings enhances your suitability for this role. * Familiarity with retail sales, cash handling, POS systems, and safety protocol adherence is advantageous.
