VIP Golf Cart Service is hiring a dependable, mechanically minded person to join our service team in Antioch. Maybe you've rebuilt a dirt bike, worked on your own car, taken auto shop, or you're the person friends call when something breaks. You don't need professional mechanic experience. Bring the aptitude and work ethic, and we'll train you on the rest.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair golf carts and utility vehicles
- Service batteries (lead-acid and lithium), brakes, motors, and suspension
- Learn to troubleshoot electrical systems, controllers, chargers, and steering
- Inspect and test-drive vehicles to confirm safety and performance
- Document work performed and parts used
- Report findings and recommended service to our Service Advisor
- Follow shop safety protocols and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude from work, school, or personal projects
- Automotive, powersports, small-engine, electrical, or tech school background is a plus
- Comfortable with basic hand tools, or eager to learn
- Able to follow instructions and pick up new systems quickly
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Clear communicator
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to [XX] lbs (batteries and components)
- Able to stand, kneel, bend, and work under vehicles for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
