Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, greens rollers, and utility vehicles using hand tools and power tools.
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper operation of sprinklers, valves, controllers, and pumps to promote healthy turf growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, edging, aeration, and fertilization to uphold the course’s pristine appearance.
- Operate construction equipment like excavators for drainage projects or landscape modifications under safety guidelines.
- Assist with general landscaping duties including planting, pruning, and soil preparation to enhance course aesthetics.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and report any equipment issues or system failures promptly for timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to implement landscaping plans that improve course playability and visual appeal.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience repairing lawn care equipment, power tools, and landscaping machinery.
- Proficiency in irrigation systems installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of lawn care practices such as aeration, fertilization, pest control, and turf management.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, soil preparation, and erosion control.
- Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes), power tools (trimmers, blowers), excavators, and other construction equipment safely and effectively.
- Understanding of horticulture principles related to turfgrass health and plant care.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to equipment repairs and system upgrades.
