Golf Mechanic
Performs manual labor related to the maintenance, care, and improvement of resort equipment; drives vehicles and operates equipment used for maintenance of the resort; and performs duties as required while providing excellent guest service.
The manager will work for the HCR Golf Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- perform and work with crews engaged in maintaining the resort grounds not limited to repairing equipment, removing snow, and operating vehicles
- perform and work with crews engaged in special projects at the resort
- assist with inspecting and maintaining the condition of the equipment needed for effective turf management
Competencies required:
- understanding of the appropriate work methods for the safe and proper use of tools, machines, and equipment used to maintain the resort grounds.
- understanding of the range of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to maintain a resort
- ability to make minor repairs to equipment, tools, and buildings
- ability to assist with keeping records and reports related to maintenance operations
- ability to drive and operate all specialized vehicles and self-propelled equipment necessary to maintain a resort
- ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public, and to work effectively with the immediate supervisor and division personnel
- ability to effectively listen, speak, write, and interact within a work group, the public, and customers
- demonstrate effective teamwork by being self-motivated, accepting, and completing assignments within deadlines, and the ability to assist with the training of subordinate staff in maintenance procedures
- ability to respond to requests for information or service from customers and citizens
- demonstrate a commitment to established customer service standards
Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- No suspensions for driving-related offenses or revocations within the two-year period prior to date of appointment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
