As a Mechanic at Drouin Golf Course, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of our golf course maintenance equipment. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of machinery, including but not limited to golf carts, mowers, utility vehicles, and irrigation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on golf course equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety standards.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime and prolong lifespan.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including repair logs and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to address equipment needs and optimize performance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working with machinery and hazardous materials.
- Assist in sourcing and ordering replacement parts and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a similar setting such as a golf course, landscaping company, or automotive repair shop.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing small engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
