Job Description:Job Description Salary: Golf Course Fleet Mechanic - Golf Equipment (Specialized) GCS Group is looking for a Mechanic to work in their fleet division. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of various small engines, with a particular emphasis on golf course machinery. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our equipment. We offer competitive wages, health and dental benefits, and other perks like free golf! ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of small engine equipment, especially those used in golf course maintenance.Conduct regular service checks and preventative maintenance.Daily inspection, adjustment and sharpening of cutting reels and rotary mowers.Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment and quality of cut.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide timely solutions.Maintain detailed records of serviced equipment.Works diligently towards building and maintaining a high level of quality.Follow and enforce company policies for all shop personnel.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. RequirementsProven experience as a Mechanic for a minimum of 3 years.Specific experience working with golf course equipment is essential.Experience in repairing golf course equipment or relevant mechanical experience.Working knowledge of small gas and diesel engine repair.Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.Experience with grinding and setup of both reel and rotary mowers an asset.Welding and fabricating skills an asset.Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.Strong understanding of battery testing systems (H8V systems).Strong understanding of basic electrical systems (fuses, lights, relays).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and customer service skills.Relevant certification or training in small engine repair is preferred.Motivated, hard working and punctual.Valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract.Physically fit.Strong time management skills.High attention to detail.Safe truck and trailer loading and operation.Safety conscious.Organized and good with documentation.Maintains a positive approach with coworkers and is team oriented.
