We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Golf Course Mechanic to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of turf maintenance equipment to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair all turf maintenance equipment including mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and small engines
Implement and manage a preventative maintenance schedule
Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory of parts, tools, and consumables
Keep accurate maintenance and service records
Assist with set-up and adjustments of cutting units to ensure quality turf presentation
Ensure workshop, tools, and equipment are clean, organised, and safe
Work closely with the Course Superintendent and groundstaff to ensure equipment is operating efficiently
Maintain a safe working environment in line with OH&S regulations
Supporting the ground staff by assisting with on-course and Clubhouse maintenance tasks from time to time, as operational needs require
Skills & Experience
Trade qualification in mechanical or diesel or small engine mechanics (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience maintaining golf course or turf equipment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and attention to detail
Effective communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Current driver’s license
Desirable
Experience with hydraulic, diesel, and petrol engines
Welding and fabrication skills
Specific knowledge of Jacobsen, Toro, or John Deere equipment
