We are seeking a skilled and dependable Golf Course Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various equipment systems, and a proactive approach to maintenance operations.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on golf course machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across a range of equipment, including diesel engines, small engines, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults accurately.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on equipment electrical systems, ensuring safety standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules for all machinery.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, welding repairs, soldering tasks, and fabrication as needed.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely to execute repairs efficiently.
- Support the installation of new equipment or systems and perform necessary calibration or adjustments.
- Collaborate with vendors or service providers for specialized repairs such as generator or power generation system servicing.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities to promote a safe working environment.
- Proven experience in dealership service technician roles or automotive repair environments; golf course or turf equipment experience is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing diesel engines, small engines, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting complex mechanical issues.
- Familiarity with heavy machine.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other mechanical repair tools.
- Knowledge of electrical work related to machinery diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy equipment or parts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with team members.
