Burleigh Golf Club is seeking a suitably qualified Mechanic to join our professional course maintenance team and maintain our modern fleet of course equipment. Applicants should also have previous experience in the use, setup and maintenance of course mowers and other maintenance machinery, and skills in golf course maintenances will be viewed favourably. Weekly duties of this position include work on the course with the maintenance staff from time to time. It is essential that you are supportive of your teammates and take pride in the course quality you will be providing for the members of Burleigh Golf Club.

The successful applicant will be self–motivated and enjoy the team performance culture fostered at Burleigh Golf Club.
Hydraulics, diesel and petrol engines, reel grinding, welding and auto electrical, are just some of the duties.
Your input will ensure we continually improve equipment performance and maintenance practices. This position is a full time, salaried position.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Take full ownership of all repairs and regular maintenance of all plant and machinery
- The ability to operate within set budgets and timeframes
- Order and maintain stock items for associated plant and machinery
- Maintain workshop and compound to a high standard
- Motor/Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate
- Experience working in automotive of turf maintenance preferred but not essential
- Experience working with and maintaining small engine tools and machines
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Welding and fabrication skills (not essential)
- Willing to be flexible and adaptable to changing environments
- Desire to learn new skills
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Be willing and able to train staff and uphold high standards
- Have sound WHS knowledge and skills
- Have knowledge of computer software and systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Sound communication and reporting skills (written and verbal)
- Salary $ (Depending on Experience)

- (38-hour week) Monday, Tuesday, Thursday , Friday 8hrs. Wednesday 6hr day.
