Job description

As an ideal candidate you will be involved in the maintenance and proper operation of equipment within the turf care (golf course) department. You should be able to maintain records of maintenance being carried out as well as provide a proactive approach to monitor equipment and trouble shoot any deficiencies in performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect and adjust equipment on a daily basis.
• Maintain appropriate maintenance records.
• Provide training to golf course maintenance staff so they are able to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform major and minor repairs by diagnosing the problem and determine the most effective repair.
• Understand and repair hydraulics.
• Team player, help maintenance staff on course when available.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in Engine repair and hydraulics.
• Experience in reel grinding would be a asset but willing to train.
• Experience in minor welding.

Must have good written and oral communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal

Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
