) is seeking to appoint a ‘Mechanic' to join our golf course team.

Gailes golf course is located at Wacol halfway between the Brisbane and Ipswich CBD's.

As part of our continued efforts to improve the golf course and surrounds we require the services of an experienced golf course Mechanic to assist in the care, servicing and maintenance of machinery used on and around the golf club.

This position requires the successful applicant to have experience in:

• a range of small 2-stroke, 4-stroke and diesel engine machines together with the normal ride-on greens and fairway mowers typically used on a golf course.
• sourcing and ordering equipment and required parts.
• Maintaining logbooks on all course machines and liaising with suppliers as necessary
• all general duties related to maintaining the workshop.
• daily and weekly golf course machinery servicing and maintenance.
• Golf course machinery operation (evidence of machine licenses as applicable should be available on request),
• Other duties as required by the Course Superintendent and/or Gailes Management
• Using basic Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel as required

This position requires the appointee to be available for weekday shifts with regular early starts a prerequisite.

Reporting:

• The successful applicant will report to the Course Superintendent and
• will be on an initial 3-month probation.

Remuneration:

• Paid weekly depending on the experience of the successful applicant.

Commencement Date:

• To be negotiated with the successful applicant
