About the Role:
We're on the search for a suitably qualified Turf Equipment Technician ideally experienced in a golf course environment to join our small team on a full-time basis. Reporting to our Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our course machinery fleet. It is necessary to have experience in petrol and diesel engines, hydraulics, auto electrics and be familiar with foley cylinder grinding machine. The role contains regular shifts across 38 hours Monday-Friday.
This is a very important role within our organisation and as such you will be responsible for and must demonstrate the following:
Self-motivated and enjoys working by themselves and in a small team environment.

- Ensure machinery is ready and optimised for day-to-day operation
- Establish operational maintenance checklists
- Establish and maintain an equipment asset register documenting services, repairs, and optimum replacement timeframe
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
- Assist with optimal machinery operation by staff, including regular training
- Keep the maintenance facility and workshop area in a clean and respectable state
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations
- Possess strong problem-solving abilities
- Experiencing working within (and under) a department budget
- Experience in the purchase of required course machinery inputs and spare parts
- Possess good communication skills within your team and across departments
- Daily assistance with general course maintenance sometimes required
Self-motivated and enjoys working by themselves and in a small team environment.
- Mechanical Qualifications essential
- Previous experience in a golf club or turf industry environment preferred
- Available to begin work early in the day with regular rostered shifts
