*Summary:* The Mechanic provides support to the Golf Course Maintenance department. This position is responsible for ensuring that all golf course maintenance equipment is in an efficient, operable, and safe condition. The Mechanic will repair and maintain all mechanized and motorized equipment, recommending replacement if necessary. This position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent. Candidates should have knowledge of all aspects of golf course equipment maintenance, possess effective communication skills, and can prioritize and multi-task in fast paced environment. *You’d be responsible for:* * Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of small engines- oil changes, filters, etc. * Performing maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and electric components of equipment * Maintaining accurate information and reports of services completed. * Grinding reels and bed knives. * Performing tasks associated with maintaining properly performing cutting units, including adjusting heights and reel adjustments. * Machining and welding equipment. * Ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely at all times. *Physical demands are required for this position and might include, but are not limited to:* · Regular Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds. · Noise level in work environment is usually moderate. · Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions including sun, rain, cold. Repetitive movement- standing, walking, twisting, turning, bending squatting, and stooping.
