Job Opportunity: Golf Course Mechanic / Field Service Technician Location: Rangiora, South Island Company: Powerturf – Commercial Equipment Supplier & Repairer Powerturf is a leading supplier and service provider of commercial equipment across a wide range of industries — including golf courses, councils, and stadiums. We support an extensive range of equipment, from commercial mowing machines and sweepers to golf carts, utility vehicles, electric tractors, and more — representing a wide variety of trusted brands. Our South Island workshop is currently looking for a skilled and motivated Golf Course Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join our growing team. About the Role: The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing and repairing equipment used in commercial turf maintenance. Your work will involve a mix of workshop-based and field-based servicing, including travel directly to job sites South island wide in a provided service van. Key Responsibilities: Diesel engine servicing and repairs Hydraulic system maintenance DC electric systems (experience helpful but not essential – training provided) Reel mower sharpening and adjustments On-site servicing of fairway and wide-area mowers Golf cart fleet maintenance and repairs Utility vehicle and compact tractor servicing Ideal Candidate: Qualified or experienced mechanic Strong experience in diesel and hydraulic systems Some knowledge of DC electric systems (training can be provided) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and communication skills Full NZ driver’s licence required What We Offer: Competitive remuneration package for the right applicant Fully equipped service van Company phone and laptop Supportive team with a strong culture of camaraderie Opportunities to work across a variety of job sites in a dynamic industry Join a company that takes pride in delivering top service and values its people.
