Job Description
1. Course Monitoring & Player Support
. Greet players at the first tee and deliver a clear and professional starter speech outlining local rules, daily conditions, and pace-of-play expectations.
. Maintain accurate starter sheets and tee time records.
. Actively patrol the golf course to ensure players adhere to etiquette, rules, and pace-of-play guidelines.
. Offer on-course assistance to guests and members, ensuring their needs are addressed professionally and promptly.
. Apply strong interpersonal skills to enforce regulations diplomatically and resolve on-course issues when necessary.
2. Safety & Emergency Response
. Monitor weather conditions and initiate lightning protocols and evacuation procedures when necessary.
. Act as the first responder to on-course emergencies and safety-related incidents.
. Promptly report pace-of-play delays, guest misconduct, and safety concerns to supervisors.
. Maintain documentation and records of disciplinary actions or notable player incidents.
3. Course Maintenance & Presentation
. Perform light course upkeep including ball mark repair, divot filling, replacement of hazard markers, restocking sand bottles, and collecting litter.
. Monitor and maintain the condition and presentation of key areas such as tee boxes and rest areas.
4. Buggy Management
. Oversee the availability, servicing, and cleanliness of all golf buggies.
. Ensure proper rotation and upkeep of buggies for guest and member usage.
5. Communication & Coordination
. Serve as Duty Master a minimum of twice a week, overseeing course operations during assigned shifts.
. Maintain clear and continuous communication with Club Concierge, Golf Shop, and the Golf Operations team.
Support team coordination to manage daily play and special events efficiently.
