OVERVIEW
The Golf Shop Manager / Merchandiser will be a leader in the golf operation and will be involved in all things related to our award-winning golf shop. He or she will be focused on delivering hospitality at the highest level to the members and their guests. The Golf Shop Manager will be asked to work directly with and report to the Director of Golf and alongside the Golf Operations team that includes a Head Golf Professional, Director of Instruction, and two Assistant Golf Professionals. He or she will also hire and appropriately train seasonal, hourly Golf Shop Staff.

OVERVIEW
The Golf Shop Manager / Merchandiser will be a leader in the golf operation and will be involved in all things related to our award-winning golf shop. He or she will be focused on delivering hospitality at the highest level to the members and their guests. The Golf Shop Manager will be asked to work directly with and report to the Director of Golf and alongside the Golf Operations team that includes a Head Golf Professional, Director of Instruction, and two Assistant Golf Professionals. Member Experience:
- Consistently provide exceptional service to members and visitors inline with the standards of CHCC
- Develop and foster member relationships to anticipate member preferences
- Consult with members and Golf Staff and deliver on event gifts/prizes
- Build relationships among staff in other departments
- Manage all facets of merchandise buying, receiving, and tracking
- Work with the Director of Golf to create seasonal golf retail & open-to-buy plans
- Meet regularly with sales representatives
- Consistently maintain a visually appealing merchandise layout, flow, and inventory rotation
- Research, analyze, and forecast current & future buying trends and products that benefit the Club’s demographics
- Attend golf/retail merchandising meetings & conferences for professional growth, best practices, and networking
- Oversee and conduct quarterly inventories within a 1% variance
- Manage & ensure regular Golf Shop financial procedures are consistently followed
- Engage with the Club Controller and accounting support staff to ensure timely submission of invoices and Club billings
- Consistently uphold and promote CHCC standards and attend regular Golf Staff meetings
- Successfully onboard seasonal, hourly Golf Shop employees
- Provide thoughtful improvement initiatives, education, and retail training and coaching as needed to Golf Operations team.
- Conduct all business in a professional manner and maintaining a professional appearance
- Working knowledge of POS & Inventory software
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite – Excel, Outlook, Word primarily
- Adept in Open-to-Buy & Special Order systems
- Familiarity with online reservations systems
- Creativity and aptitude for communications, promotions, and marketing
Pay: $44,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
