PRO GOLF SHOP MANAGER SITUATION: Johannesburg SALARY: Commensurate with experience We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused, and experienced Pro Golf Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy golf retail shop. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for golf, retail excellence, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations of the Pro Shop. Deliver outstanding customer service to members and guests. Oversee merchandise purchasing, stock control, pricing, and displays. Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue. Manage tee-time bookings and golf-related administration. Supervise, train, and motivate Pro Shop staff. Coordinate golf events, competitions, and prize presentations. Ensure accurate cash handling, reconciliations, and reporting. Build strong relationships with members, visitors, and suppliers. Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked retail environment. Minimum Requirements Previous experience managing a golf pro shop or retail environment. Sound knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Computer literacy with point-of-sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office. Strong organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible hours. Valid driver''s licence own car advantageous Desired Attributes Passion for the game of golf. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Sales-driven with strong merchandising skills. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
