Key Responsibilities:
Course Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the golf course, ensuring exceptional playing conditions and guest experiences.
- Collaborate with groundskeepers to maintain and enhance the course’s presentation and functionality.
- Coordinate tee times, tournaments, and group bookings to optimise course utilisation.
- Work with management to plan events and competitions to engage the golfing community.
- Manage the pro shop, including inventory, merchandising, and retail sales.
- Provide outstanding customer service, assisting guests with equipment, apparel, and advice.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Lead, train, and mentor golf course and pro shop staff to ensure high standards of service.
- Develop staff rosters and schedules to maintain efficient operations.
- Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere for members and visitors alike.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and effectively.
- Monitor budgets and expenses for the golf course and pro shop.
- Process and report daily transactions and reconcile sales.
- Track revenue streams and provide insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience managing a golf course or pro shop, or in a similar hospitality or sports management role.
- Strong knowledge of golf operations and equipment.
- Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software, including point-of-sale systems, Microsoft Office & MiClub.
- A passion for golf and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
