Club Manager -Mooroopna Golf Club
The Mooroopna Golf Club is one of regional Victoria’s premier sporting licensed clubs. Located just 4km from Shepparton, the club lies alongside the picturesque Goulburn River, providing a scenic backdrop for golfers.
The club offers members, guests and visitors a vast array of entertainment options incorporating an 18-hole golf course, driving range, licensed clubhouse with internal club activities, and two well maintained grass bowling rinks. The club includes a members’ lounge, bars, bistro, and independent gaming operations with 40 EGMs. The club prides itself as being ‘The Friendly Club’, with strong links to the local community that are underpinned by the successful operation of a complete hospitality package.
The club is looking to appoint an operationally focused Club Manager who has excellent communication and ‘people skills’, with a dedication to lead the business and achieve the club’s objectives and strategic business plan. The role offers an attractive remuneration package and staff benefits.

The CEO’s responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing club employees and managing day to day operations of all areas of the club, with a high focus on golfing operations.
- Maintaining high standards of staff performance, particularly in the areas of customer service, dress, RSA and RSG training.
- Maintaining and monitoring the club’s financial performance, preparing reports for the Board of Management summarising the financial position in key areas of income, expenses, capital usage and cash flows, and assist with the preparation and implementation of strategic plans, budgets and financial forecasts.
- Business development and project management.
- Proactive marketing and promotion of the club and activities.
- Liaising with and supporting the Board Members and exercising specific delegated authorities from the Board.
- Managing liquor licensing, gaming, and wagering activities.
- Being the 'face of the club' for the Members and community.
- Experience in senior management / operations management within the licensed club industry environment.
- Sound knowledge and experience in gaming operations, TAB, Keno, catering, bar, club and Sporting promotions.
- Ability to build, lead and motivate effective teams with a friendly and engaging disposition.
- Strong communication skills and a customer service focus.
- Knowledge of golf and sporting facility management (Preferred).
- Possess a high level of business ethics and integrity.
- Have an understanding and good working knowledge of legislation relevant to the club’s operations including workplace relations, Liquor & Gaming, staff training and Company Secretary obligations.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and budgets.
- Demonstrable financial management, analysis and reporting competencies.
- The ability to develop the business through innovative initiatives and marketing those strategies through all forms of media.
- Hold current RSA & RSG certificates, Gaming Industry Employee / Venue Operator Nominee License, and experience managing AML/CTF programs.
- The ability to work collaboratively and support the Board of Management.
