About the Opportunity
Are you passionate about golf? We are seeking a qualified Greenkeeper to join our golf course maintenance team and maintain the presentation of our 27 hole championship golf course, which includes a driving range, putting and chipping greens and a multi-purpose sports field. Our team take great pride in maintaining our property to the highest standard, offering exceptional experiences for our members and guests.

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving the golf course, ensuring it is kept in top playing condition all year round. Your key responsibilities include:

Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving the golf course, ensuring it is kept in top playing condition all year round. Your key responsibilities include:
Carry out day to day activities, including mowing greens, fairways & roughs, planting, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, apply fertiliser and pesticide spaying
Operate and maintain turf management equipment, tools and machinery
Set up the course for daily play, maintaining bunkers and repairing damage to the course surface
Lead team members to maintain productivity, turf management skills and techniques
Contribute to course modifications, renovations and project work
Maintain excellent customer service standards with members and guests
Maintain safe working practices

What you’ll need to be successful
Golf course and turf management experience in a similar environment
Certificate III in Turf Management, Chemical Spraying certificate & drivers licence, essential
Availability to work Monday-Thursday 5.30am-2pm, Friday 5.30am-11.30am, plus one rotating weekend per month, Saturday & Sunday 5-9am, essential
Experience in operating golf course equipment and machinery
Clear communication skills and work well in a team environment
Understanding of work health and safety practices
Ability to perform physical requirements of manual labour & heavy lifting
Excellent presentation
