General Purpose
The City of Commerce City is seeking a skilled Golf Maintenance Technician to join our team. As the Golf Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for mixing and applying various chemicals/pesticides including herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation, or chemical application on all areas of the golf course. This position will be performed under general supervision. Join our team now and help us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all our golf course users.
Must have or be able to obtain a Pesticide Applicator license within the first 6 months of employment. The city will pay for the study and test materials.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range for this position is $21.20 - $26.50/hourly; $44,091 - $55,113 annual.

PAID TIME-OFF BENEFITS:
- Holidays: There are 11 paid holidays each year.
- General Leave: Leave banks are granted to employees after six months of full-time employment. General Leave may be used for vacations, personal business, illness, or other reasons as requested by the employee and approved by his/her supervisor.
- Other Paid Time Off Jury Duty, Injury Leave, and Military leave are also available to employees.

- Eligibility for Pay Increases: Employees are eligible for a pay increase during their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation. Pay increases do not come at the time of the six-month introductory evaluation.
- Employee Home Ownership Program: To encourage employees to reside within the City limits of Commerce City, we may provide a secured loan for the down payment and/or closing cost assistance on a home in Commerce City. The employee must meet all City criteria as well as first mortgage underwriting criteria.
- Personal Computer Employee Purchase Program: To encourage the development of employee computer skills, the City offers an interest-free loan to you for the purchase of computer hardware (including a Desktop or Laptop) and software. The employee must have successfully completed their 6-month Introductory Period for eligibility.
- Recreation Center Membership: Employees and family members are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per person per year.
- Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
