JOB REQUIREMENTS: As a turf professional for Meadowbrook Country Club, you will perform moderately heavy manual labor in the care and maintenance of the golf course and clubhouse grounds. Must be reliable with the ability to work in a team environment but also hard working unsupervised. An absolute must of this position is that you show up for work every day! We run a small crew so it is important that everyone be on time for work, everyday!!! Requirements: -Precision mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs -Prepare and maintain greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, creeks, and ponds -Cares for plants by preparing beds, planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and spraying -Accurately plans, calculates, calibrates and conducts fertilizer applications -Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains sprinkler systems -Sets cups -Sets tee markers -Maintenance duties may involve the use of hand tools, weed eaters, fly mowers, mowing equipment, fertilizer spreaders, etc. -Assist with various projects to improve the golf course. -Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. -Inspect all machines and report deficiencies to the mechanic. -Possess a willingness to strive for perfection individually and in conjunction with other team members! -Willingness to learn and grow. Qualifications: -High School diploma, GED or Equivalent -Must have a valid driver\'s license. -Experience with irrigation and landscaping preferred. -Able to interact positively with the members of Meadowbrook Country Club. -Work outside for long periods of time and in all kinds of weather, performing tasks that require physical strength and endurance. -Adjust to golf course tasks depending on daily operational needs. -Work skillfully with your hands in a variety of tasks. -Able to use arithmetic to measure and compute amount of materials to use. -Ability to understand, follow and communicate written instructions and specifications. -Availability to work weekends. A typical day starts between 5:30 and 7:00 a.m., ends between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. Our start time coincides with the sunrise. Fridays we work 5 hours, the other 3, to make a 40 hour week, are on Saturday or Sunday. Your weekend day will alternate, Saturday one week and Sunday the following week.
