Group/Range: 16/00 General Description The City of Madison is looking to hire Golf Course Laborers! The successful candidate will be responsible for manual labor work maintaining the City of Madison Golf Courses
Employees will provide basic landscaping services and building maintenance activities for the Madison Golf Courses
Employees will be expected to work with fertilizers and will have frequent exposure to pollen, dust, grass clippings, etc
Schedule: Multiple positions are available
Hours will be Sunday through Saturday 5:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m
Employees must be able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
Hired candidates may be eligible for reinstatement in future golf seasons
Duration: The golf season is approximately April-October (depending on weather)

Ability to lift and move bags of fertilizer weighing 40 pounds
*The payroll title for this position is Laborer (Hourly)
Hourly employees are eligible to earn sick leave and may qualify for other benefits depending on the number of hours worked
